Because Ryan lived with Theresa in Chino Marissa was really depressed. But soon she started a kind of relationship with her gardener D.J. which doesnt last really long! When Ryan came back Marissa was really happy about it but it was really difficult between them, after a while Marissa started being interested in Alex a new girl in The OC. They became a couple for a while but in the end Marissa finished the relationship and came back to Ryan. Sadly they cant realy made a new start because Trey came out of prison and moved to The OC. One night he attacks Marissa and after a while Ryan found it out and they started a huge fight. Only Marissa could rescue Ryan by shooting his brother Trey.

In the beginning of Season 2 Ryan left The OC and moved back to Chino because Theresa is pregnant. Ryan started to work at a building lot and lived together with Theresa, but he didnt seemed to be happy. Then the Cohens ask him to bring Seth back home because he walked off to Luke because of Ryan. While he is there Theresa called and told him that she lost the baby but it was a lie. She wanted him to be happy and so Ryan moved back to The OC to start a new life there again! But it wouldnt become an easy year for him because after a while also Trey came to The OC and everything got really complicated for them.

Seth Cohen has lived in Orange County his whole life. He is neither a jock nor a brain, but a quirky and sensitive guy who understands that there is more to the world than what you find inside the Newport bubble. Seth is a huge fan of video games, comic book and music. We have seen great growth from Seth's character throughout the first season.

After the sudden disappearance of Seth Summer was really confused and angry. Soon after he found Zach, a good looking sport guy. They started a relationship and in the beginning Summer was really happy to have found the perfect guy, someone who is so different from Seth. But when Seth returns from his trip things started getting complicated. Zach and Seth have the same interests: Comics and Summer. So Summer got really irritated because of the comic thing and also because Seth and Zach are always fighting for her. In the end, she realised that she still is in love with Seth and so he left Zach.
Kirsten Cohen

Kirsten Cohen is a successful businesswoman living in Orange County. She is the wife of Sandy Cohen and has one son Seth Cohen. She is a loving mother, and caring and compassionate friend. Kirsten worked as an architect in her father's (Caleb Nichol) architecture firm before his death. His sudden heart attack, in addition to various other traumas at work, sent Kirsten on a downward spiral into alcholism. Her reliance on alcohol's impact on her family prompted them to stage an intervention. As the third season begins, Kirsten is an inpatient at an alcohol rehabiliation centre.

In the middle of the season things heat up between Sandy and Kirsten when Sandy decides to help his mentor in law school find his daughter, Rebecca, whom was Sandy's first love. Sandy keeps Rebecca's presence in Newport a secret from Kirsten after deciding to take her case to court. But soon Kirsten heard that and on Valentines Day Sandy and Kirsten's conflict about Rebecca continues. As Sandy continues working on Rebecca's case, Kirsten questions how strong their feelings are for one another.Sandy still wants to help Rebecca with her case and tries to convince her not to run again. But Rebecca felt really uncomfortable and run away. Sandy is now trying evertyhing to get the love from Kirsten again, because this was a huge crash for them.
Julie Cooper-Nichol

Julie Cooper has a lot of boyfriends in this season. After the divorce from Jimmy she started a little affair with Luke, the ex-boyfriend from Marissa. When she and her friends got to know this everyone was shocked, esxpecially Marissa. But Julie finished this affair and Luke moved with his father into another city. Less time after, Julie got a proposal of marriage from Caleb, Kirsten´s father. She agreed to marry him and so the Coopers and the Cohens became one big but not really happy family. This marriage didnt last really long and do Caleb wanted to be divorced, but bevore this could happened he dies. Jimmy came for the funeral and fall again in love with Julie.
Caleb Nichol

In the very early season Caleb shocked the whole familiy and friends with his proposal of marriage. He wanted to marry Julie Cooper and she says yes to the proposal. So the Coppers and the Cohens became in a very strange way a huge family. But not only this family of Caleb was new, also his affair to a nice lady got puplic. Both had years ago an affair and also a child together: Lindsay. She is the new girlfriend of Ryan and so thing really became complicated for everyone there! Caleb became more and more problems with his heart and so in the end of the season he dies bevore he could get divorced from Julie.
Lindsay Wheeler-Gardner

Lindsay moved to The OC together with her mum and is new in her school. On her first day she had a not really good meeting with Ryan because they chrashed together and Ryan puts coffee on her shirt. They were both in the same class and had to made some exercises together. Because Seth is interessted in her he wants a double date with Ryan and Alex. But in the end Lindsay and Ryan became a couple and it lasts fpr a while. Finally Lindsay heard who her real father was. Its Caleb, Kirstens dad. Lindsay and all the others were really shocked by hearing this and so the relationship to Ryan was slown down. After all she and her mum decided to leace The OC and to move to Chicago.
Zach Stevens

Zach is a really popluar sport student at the Harbour School. But he has also an other big interesst: Comics. So he became a member of Seth Cohen´s Comic Club. First Seth was really happy about that, but than he recognized that Zach was the new boyfriend of Summer. It starts getting complicated between them but both stayed still in the comic club and are even trying to make an own comic. Zach really had a hard time because he stood in the middle between Summer and Seth and in the end he looses both.

D.J. was the gardener of the Cooper-Nichols home. Marissa and he started a relationship also because Ryan was living now in Chino with Theresa because she was pregnant with his baby. Marissas mum didnt like this relationship and started everything to cancel it, she even offers him money that he will leave Marissa alone. But after a while the relationships breaks, also because Ryan was back in town and Marissa still has feelings for her. And soo D.J. also lost his job as a gardener.

Alex is a 17 year old who was kicked out of school and also of her parents. So she moved to Orange County and started to work full time. She became the new manager at the Bait Shop, a club in Orange County. She is a rebelious and very taff girl. She is interessted in males and also females, an ex girlfriend of her visited her once in OC. In the beginning she was the boss of Seth who only was cleaning up the club. But after a while she attracted to Seth and his funny and cute behaviour. They started a relationship but unfortunatelyit doesnt last really long. After this she felt in love with Marissa and they became a couple. In the beginning it was secret but after a time all knew about it. But this relationship also doesnt work very well and so Alex left Orange County.
Theresa

Theresa is an old friend of Ryan who still lives in Chino. She came to The OC to work there a little and also because she wanted to marry but was really afraid of that. So she ran away and stayed with Ryan. They really like each other and because the whole situations was so complicated they made love and Theresa became pregnant. In the beginning of the Season Ryan lived together with her in Chino but she realised that Ryan isnt really happy with her. When Ryan was away to find Seth she called him to tell that she lost the baby, which was a lie because she only wanted that Ryan is happy and got back to The OC and Marissa, his truely love. She got the baby and stayed living in her mums house in Chino.
Trey Atwood

When Trey comes out from prison after a long while, his brother Ryan and Sandy came to bring him to The OC. The Cohens also gave him a new home until he will find something own. But there were a lot of troubles between him and Ryan and so Trey moved to Alex´s old flat and lived there alone. Its difficult for Trey not to become criminal again and one evening he starts attacking Marissa who got really shocked and didnt tell anyone. When Ryan got to know this he got so angry that he started a big fight with Trey and in the end it was Marissa who shot him because Trey didnt stop hitting Ryan.
